NEW BADMINTON PLAYERS WANTED

We are looking for people of any age (16+), standard and background who have played before or are completely new to the game.

Saturday Night Taster Sessions

All these sessions will be held at Abbeydale Park Badminton Club, directions can be found on our website. www.abbeydalebadminton.co.uk

• Saturday 27th February - 8.00-9.30pm
• Saturday 6th March - 8.00-9.30pm
• Saturday 13th March - 8.00-9.30pm
• Saturday 20th March - 8.00-9.30pm
• Saturday 27th March - 8.00-9.30pm

These Saturday night taster sessions are free and without any obligation to join the club. People can come along to as many or as few as ythey wish and get a taste for badminton. I will be there to answer questions, provide equipment and coach skills if needed but they can also come along to just have a quick hit and get into the game.

Friday Club Nights

If Saturday nights are not good for them new players are welcome to come down to try a club night any friday night from 7.30pm (although most people turn up at about 8.00pm). This is our Social Club night and is open to all. I will be at these nights each week (during term time) to greet anyone new. On Friday nights the members play doubles throughout the night with people of many different standards attending with an optional trip down to the pavillion bar for the pub quiz afterwards. Players who understand Rally Point scoring and can maintain a rally may get more enjoyment out of a club night than going down as a complete beginner.

The first visit to a club night will be free, the next three charged at 4 GBP and then players will be asked to join the club if they wish to attend further.

Abbeydale Park Badminton Club

Our badminton club runs 6 club nights each week of varying standards, enters 18 teams in the local league, runs a large junior coaching program (www.sheffieldpc.org) and has an active social scene. We pride ourselves on providing a great service to our members and have some of the best playing facilities in the country.
